From a swipe to forever... Sometimes love finds you in the most intentional ways—even before you arrive at the place you’re meant to call home. Before Dallas was our home, we believed God had a plan for both of us. So, we set our Hinge locations there, trusting that if love was part of His plan, He’d guide the way. At the time, Jordan was in Mansfield, TX and I was in Philadelphia, PA. The distance could have been a challenge—but we never let it be. From the very first day, we talked every single day, never missing a FaceTime date. We laughed, shared our dreams, and found creative ways to get to know each other, like the “dating questions” game we invented using the curated list of questions by my friend, Imani B. Through every conversation, alignment was undeniable. We wanted the same things, we shared the same values, and we felt a sense of peace that only God could give. When we finally met in New York City for our first date, everything fell into place. The energy of the city buzzed around us, but all we felt was the calm assurance of being exactly where we were meant to be.
