WHERE IS THE WEDDING?

Answer

Ceremony and reception at the Biddle Mansion (above) at the Tarrytown House Estate - 49 E Sunnyside Ln, Tarrytown, NY 10591. There will be both signs and staff to direct you to the Biddle Mansion and its outdoor Terrace for the wedding ceremony. Cocktail Hour and Dinner Reception will both be held indoors.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

Semi-Formal Attire - For a festive and stylish celebration, we invite you to dress in semi-formal. Men: A suit with a button-down shirt, tie, dark socks, and dress shoes. Accessories like a pocket square, cufflinks, or leather belt can add some personality. Women: A cocktail dress, a long evening dress, dressy skirt and blouse, or dressy jumpsuit or pantsuit.

Guests should plan to arrive starting at 4:30pm for a 5pm Ceremony.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET TO THE VENUE?

Answer

By car: Coming from New Jersey: George Washington Bridge (tolls apply). Follow signs for I-87 North (The Major Deegan Expressway) towards Albany. Take Exit 9 (Tarrytown, last exit before the Tappan Zee Bridge/Gov Mario M. Cuomo Bridge). At the end of the exit, turn left onto Route 119 West. Go to the first traffic light and turn left onto Route 9 South. Take the third traffic light (approx. 1 mile) and turn left onto East Sunnyside Lane. Tarrytown House Estate is the Second Entrance on the left. From New York City or Long Island: Take the East River Drive North, across the Willis Avenue Bridge onto the Major Deegan Expressway North. Major Deegan Expressway: This expressway eventually becomes the New York State Thruway (I-287 West). Follow steps 4-8 from the directions above (starting from Exit 9). There is plenty of parking at the venue. By train: You can take a train from NYC to Tarrytown House Estate. The train ride itself is only 23.4 miles, but the total travel time is 1 hour and 27 minutes. Be sure to check MTA website or app for specific schedules.

ARE CHILDREN INVITED?

Although we love your children oh so very much, we regretfully cannot accommodate little ones at the venue due to limited seating.

WHERE WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION TAKE PLACE?

Answer

Both events will occur at the Biddle Mansion at Tarrytown House Estate. With the hopes of good weather, our ceremony will be outside on the West Terrace. The cocktail hour and reception will take place inside our venue's event space.

CAN I RSVP ONLINE OR DO I HAVE TO MAIL IN AN RSVP CARD?

Yes. The RSVP link is open (please see header). Please RSVP by April 25th on this website with the full name of each individual attending. If you are unable to RSVP on the website, please reach out to Gail Cornish at 434-989-8623.

ARE THERE BLOCKS OF ROOMS RESERVED AT NEARBY HOTELS?

Answer

We have two room blocks in hotels directly across from each other: 1.) The Marriott Courtyard Tarrytown Westchester County. Please call (914) 631-1122 to secure your room as they will be given out on a first-come first-serve basis. 2.) Springhill Suites (room block rate is only guaranteed until 5/1/2025). Please call (914) 366-4600 to secure your room as they will be given out on a first-come first-serve basis. For both room blocks, please reference the "Devera/Cornish Wedding Room Block".

WILL THERE BE A SHUTTLE TO OR FROM THE HOTEL(S)?

Answer

Transportation will be provided between the Marriott Courtyard Tarrytown, the Springhill Suites Tarrytown, and The Tarrytown House Estate. One shuttle will make two pickups before the ceremony: the first at 4:30 PM, and the second around 5:00 PM (depending on timing). Return shuttles will run continuously from 9:30 PM to 1:00 AM to bring guests back to the hotels. The final shuttle will depart the venue at 1:15 AM.
