Like many modern Millennial romances, our story began online—on an app called Hinge. DJ was immediately captivated by Mary’s flowing hair and her vibrant zest for life. Mary, in turn, was charmed by DJ’s mustache, which reminded her of her beloved grandfather and his adventurous spirit. DJ made the move from Long Island, New York in 2015, seeking lower taxes—and maybe a Southern belle. Mary, born and raised in Arkansas, arrived in Nashville in 2016 in search of something new and exciting. Their first date was at Monday Night Brewing in Germantown, Nashville. The connection was instant. As the evening unfolded, it quickly became clear that each had found something rare and meaningful in the other. For Mary, DJ brought warmth, sincerity, and steadfast support. For DJ, Mary offered kindness, depth, and a vision for the future they could build together. Mary is a Marriage and Family Therapist, passionate about helping others deepen self-awareness and grow in emotional intelligence. DJ is an Environmental Lab Supervisor, leading a team of scientists in analyzing environmental samples and safeguarding public health. Together, they’re the perfect yin and yang—balancing heart and mind, emotion and logic. They couldn’t be more excited to celebrate their love and commitment with the people who matter most.
