No! Most places will take cash or card. However, we do recommend bringing cash just in case!

Should I tip?

Answer

Tipping is not customary and is included with meals and drinks - If you do choose to leave a tip we would recommend tipping 10% of your bill. If you park a golf cart in the town there is "parking security" that will ask for money to watch your cart. Although this is essentially a self proclaimed job, it is recommended that you give them a few dollars to do so.

What does Pura Vida mean?

Pura Vida translates to "pure life" or simple life - But can be used as a way of saying hello, you're welcome, no problem, or just as a friendly phrase when addressing locals!

For texting we recommend using WHATSAPP. For directions, use WAZE! And of course there is WiFi everywhere :)
