We’re getting married

The crazy story of how 2 strangers met and fell in love through a dating app, thank youuuu Bumble (: DJ and Hanna officially became a “match” on February 5th of 2023 after Hanna made the first move bragging about her having 1 tattoo. That was one of the qualities that DJ was looking for so thank God she had the one (: They had their first date on February 11th at an Italian restaurant near DJ’s apartment. Hanna knew DJ was the one when he showed up with a bouquet of sunflowers (her favorite) because they only spoke about it once! Here comes a shocker. If anyone knows Hanna, she isn’t the best with time management. She showed up 30 minutes late because she “couldn’t find the perfect outfit”. Despite her being late, it was the most perfect first date ever. They sat at the restaurant for about 2 hours before realizing they were the only ones left in the restaurant. It was such a magical moment of them getting to know one another. That following weekend DJ met a few of Hanna’s family at her nieces basketball game, and took him out to the famous Sir Pizza in Siler City. Hanna’s mother’s first reaction of DJ was “wow he showed up with a Starbucks cup to the game” and “he has really tall hair”. Thankfully her side of the family didn’t scare him off lol. DJ asked Hanna to be his girlfriend on March 5th while they were out with a few friends at Whisky Rose after singing “Our Song” by T-Swift. A few weeks later they took their first road trip to Asheville where they said “I Love You”. Their love kept growing stronger and stronger everyday. Hanna got to meet DJ’s parents in September 2023, and it was the warmest welcoming she’s ever had. They moved into their first apartment together in October of 2023, and rescued their first sweet pup, Jack, that following January. June of 2024, they went to one of Hanna’s cousin’s wedding and a few of the Stackhouse cousins made a bet that they were the next to be married. DJ just laughed it off, but little did Hanna know, he already had the ring. Hanna has always joked that when DJ decided to purpose, he had to get the approval of her dad, mom and Lilly (her oldest niece). The week before the proposal, DJ practiced his speech on what he would say when he spoke to Charles. The day he called Charles, he was out walking Jack for an hour to get the nerves out, but he finally called and got their approval. DJ finally asked Hanna to spend the rest of their life together on June 28th, 2024. DJ came up with the craziest story to get Hanna to take a road trip to the beach for the weekend down at Holden Beach. DJ recently started a new job with a marina company that sells software all over the world. He found out that the marina company down at Holden Beach was one of his clients. He told Hanna that his “boss was going down the same weekend” so they wanted to get dinner together that way they can meet in person. The whole time Hanna thought she was meeting the boss so she bought a dress, got her nails done and made sure she was dressed to impress. Into an hour of Hanna getting ready, DJ received a “phone call” from his boss stating they were stuck in traffic so we may need to reschedule. After 15 minutes later, DJ convinced Hanna to continue on with their date night. After dinner, they decided to go take sunset pictures out on the beach since it was a beautiful night. DJ brought his tripod to make it easier to capture the moment. After taking a few pictures, DJ got down on one knee and asked Hanna to spend the rest of their life together💛
