It all started back in high school — not as a love story (at least, not yet), but as two friends who just got each other. Daly and DJ met in those days of pep rallies and late-night socials (iykyk), and before long, we became best friends — the kind who shared inside jokes, movie recommendations, and even stories about other crushes. As the years went on, that friendship grew into something deeper, the kind of connection that sneaks up on you when you least expect it. One day, we realized what everyone else probably saw long before we did: we were already each other’s person. Seven years later, we’ve built a life filled with laughter, love, and a few shared obsessions. From cheering on the Chicago Bulls and earning our Cinemark rewards (we’re also AMC A-listers now🙂‍↕️) watching movies together, to traveling anywhere that serves a great breakfast. Penguins have also become a sweet symbol for us: loyal, loving, and in it for life (just like us). Now we’re getting married in the 8th month of our 8th year together — a perfect, full-circle moment for two best friends who just happened to fall in love.
