Traveling to India is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our goal is for you to feel comfortable, cared for, and fully immersed in the celebration. Dress codes will be outlined for each event -- Indian attire is encouraged but never expected, we want you to feel comfortable and at home in whatever you are wearing (no colors are off-limits). There will be time built into the schedule to rest, refresh, and explore at your own pace. Attendance to all events is optional, we want you to enjoy the celebration in a way that feels best for you. We are eternally grateful for the efforts of our guests to make this trip & we cannot wait to celebrate with you!
We recommend arriving at least one day prior to the first scheduled wedding event to allow time to settle in, adjust after travel, and enjoy the city at a relaxed pace. If you are joining us for the Taj Mahal excursion, please plan accordingly.
Yes. All U.S. passport holders require a tourist visa to enter India. Your passport should also be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. Please use the website link below to obtain your e-Visa. https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html
Please fly into Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. This is the main international airport and the most convenient option for all wedding events.
December in Delhi is generally cool and pleasant, with daytime temperatures around 60-75°F and cooler evenings. We recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl for nighttime events.
The local currency is the Indian Rupee (INR). Credit cards are widely accepted at hotels and most restaurants; however, we do recommend carrying some cash if needed.
Outfit recommendations are provided in the schedule section. Outfit guide with pictures coming soon! We will depart Delhi early in the morning and return the same evening. The Taj Mahal is approximately a 3.5 hour drive from Delhi. Transportation and guided time at the Taj Mahal will be provided, followed by a group lunch in Agra. While this is a full and busy day, it promises to be one of the most memorable experiences of the week. Participation is optional but encouraged to experience this Wonder of the World!
We highly recommend booking flights as soon as possible, as prices and availability may change quickly during the holiday season. When booking travel, we strongly encourage guests to avoid itineraries with layovers in the Middle East whenever possible, as there have recently been frequent cancellations and unexpected scheduling disruptions that could impact travel plans. Direct routes or connections through Europe are recommended when available.
