Travel Guide

Kin House is located in the village of Kington Langley, just outside of Chippenham. We have rooms held at the Old Bell Hotel (in Malmesbury) and a small number of rooms at Bowood Hotel. Please see details below to book one of these hotels. They are both small hotels so we recommend calling soon. If you are travelling by car, Kin House is located off the M4 at Junction 17. If you are travelling by train, the closest train station is Chippenham (which is 1hr 10 minutes from London Paddington, 25 minutes from Bristol Temple Meads, 11 minutes from Bath Spa). If you are flying, Kin House is approximately 1 hr 30 minutes in the car from London Heathrow (you can pick up a rental car from the airport). If you wish to travel by train, take the Elizabeth line or the Heathrow Express to Paddington, and then get the train to Chippenham from there. If you are flying to Bristol, Kin House is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from Bristol (BRS) airport in the car. You can also get the train into Bristol Temple Meads and then change to get a train to Chippenham which will take just over 1 hour.

There are various types of rooms held at the hotel as well a few townhouses in Malmesbury if you'd prefer that option. Please call the hotel directly and request to book the room that best suits your needs. The rooms are all held under "Sturgess" so mention that when you book. We will be arranging transport from the hotel to Kin House for the wedding.

Travel Note

Wedding Day Transport

We will be arranging transportation back to and from the wedding to local hotels, but if you need/want to book a taxi we recommend booking ahead. Local companies are: - JJ Taxis (01249 446 436) - Chippenham Taxi (01249 880 005; taxichippenham.co.uk) - SA Taxi Chippenham (07403 829 836) - V Cars Chippenham (01249 656 565; v-cars.com/locations/chippenham) Once we have a better idea of who is staying where we will circle back on wedding day transport plans. You will also be able to leave cars at Kin House overnight the night of the wedding, as long as they are picked up by 10am the following day.
