We're Getting Married

Ethan joined the National Guard in 2017 and originally wanted to be a combat medic. After some serious consideration he decided to start with something a little more simple and chose warehouse supply. Dixie signed her contract in 2020 but due to still being in school waited a year to ship to basic training. She also had originally wanted to be a Combat Medic but did not have the scores needed to due so despite scoring high on all practice tests. So after lots of consideration she chose to go into Unit Supply. 5 years later for Ethan and 2 years later for Dixie, they met in early 2022 in the same unit working side by side in the same friend group. They were friends for almost a year and a half before dating. Both Ethan and Dixie were in other relationships at the time they seemed perfect on paper. Ethan's other relationship ended very quietly in mid 2022 and he continued to work on and improve himself. Dixie's other relationship progressively got dangerous. Towards early 2023 Dixie turned to her friends for help. Ethan was the one who managed to convince her that she could leave and be okay and she would find love again. Dixie, to this day, believes that Ethan saved her and she would not have had the courage to leave without his help. They started to hand out more and their first date and the day they started dating was April 29th 2023. Ethan says he knew by August that year that she was the one he spend the rest of his life with. He proposed on September 15th 2024. Ethan and Dixie both strongly believe that their relationship is purely a plan of god. They both wanted to be combat medics and would've ended up in the same unit if that was the route taken but in the end chose different jobs that work closely together and ended up in the same unit anyways. Ethan saved Dixie from a dangerous relationship by saying she deserved so much more and a Prince Charming then he became her so much more and her Prince Charming (cringe, I know)

Dixie and Ethan had been so busy with everything life had thrown at them recently that they'd barely had time for each other. Due to this they planned one day to go to the beach and spend the day alone together and then get dinner at one of their favorite restaurants. Earlier that week Ethan mentioned Dixie should get her nails done for another event she had coming up and because it had been awhile. She was suspicious but didn't think much of it. Sunday morning they got up and started to get ready, he said they were getting brunch on the way somewhere cute so she should wear a dress and get all cute. The entire drive Ethan was being so weird and super fidgety. Dixie got suspicious as one of her friends put the "he's gonna propose" idea in her head. After an hour and half drive he surprised her at a Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center. She thought "ok this is why he's being weird, he's not proposing". Both of us super excited got out of the car and went inside he continued to be slightly weird but had calmed down so she brushed it off as that's just Ethan. When they got to the end of the tour Ethan stopped our whole tour and the entire tour behind us because "we HAVE to get a picture with the turtles". Dixie who hates causing a scene is freaking out while Ethan grabs a worker for the "Picture". She goes to the take the picture and all of sudden Ethan is down on one knee asking Dixie to marry him. For both of them the rest of the world disappears and its just them and the sea turtles (of course). Dixie cries and mutters yes of course!! They then head to the beach and spend the day celebrating with each other and telling family members.
