It's Happening! We are getting married!

Sean and Dixie first met on a night out in local bar named Beachcomber in Seaside NJ from mutual acquaintances. At the time, they didn’t know each other, but Sean's friend happened to know Dixie from high school and introduced them. Shortly after meeting, Dixie mentioned that one of the guys owed her a green tea shot. When he didn’t follow through, Sean stepped in and offered to get it for her. The two walked up to the bar together, and that simple moment sparked their first real conversation. Before the night was over, Sean asked for Dixie’s social media, and the two quickly hit it off.

Our first date was simple but unforgettable. He asked if I wanted to see a movie, and when I said “maybe,” he quickly replied, “Okay, I’ll pick you up today.” True to his word, he showed up and took me to Popeyes before heading to the movies. We watched an action movie, and somewhere during the film he made the classic move—putting his arm around my shoulder. After the movie, he drove me home, but neither of us was ready for the night to end. We ended up sitting in the car in front of my house talking for hours. What started as a simple movie date turned into the beginning of something really special.

Sean planned the perfect surprise proposal at Holland Ridge Farms in New Jersey, surrounded by beautiful flowers and some of our closest family and friends. Dixie had no idea what was about to happen, which made the moment even more special. At the perfect moment, Sean turned to me and said, “You know I love you, right? You know I want to spend the rest of my life with you, right?” Then he got down on one knee and asked the question that changed everything: “Will you marry me?”
