It all kicked off in October when he sent me a request, and I thought, "Why not?" Our first phone call lasted a whopping three hours. Can you believe it? But here's the kicker: I was totally unsure at first. His accent was all posh and proper, while I'm more of a laid-back kinda person. Talk about opposites attracting, right? Then, things sorta fizzled out. He mentioned he was moving and would be off the radar for a bit. I wasn't exactly the queen of texting back, so that was that... or so I thought. Fast forward to February, the month of love, or so they say. I'd pretty much given up on the whole romance thing when out of the blue, he pops up again in my messages. I was tempted to give him a piece of my mind for ghosting me earlier, but something told me to give it another shot. We started chatting again, and I gotta say, he's got this wicked sense of humor. Even though Valentine's Day rolled around and we were both flying solo, we found solace in our shared sarcasm and love for cheesy rom-coms. Eventually, we decided to meet up.Our first meeting was at Charlotte airport, and from the moment we saw each other, it felt like we'd known each other forever. And then there was his proposal – not your typical down-on-one-knee affair, but it was so him, funny and sweet at the same time. Long story short, that's how our journey began.
