Babetta Mathai

Maid of Honor

Babetta is one of the bride's oldest friends. Their friendship can be traced back to their fourth-grade Sunday School class where the two have more memories of getting in trouble for giggling than memories of what they learned that year. Despite being separated by distance for most of their lives, they have managed to develop an inseparable connection. From road trips to starting backyard bonfires as kids, Divya is assured that the best of their friendship is yet to come.

Tony Bureau

Best Man

Tony and Matt met when they became rack mates (bunk beds) in Marine Corp boot camp in 2010. They became best buds quickly, and would serve all but six months of their enlistments together in the same unit. Tony and Matt pushed each other to get through hard things, like passing the try out for a specialized platoon they both were accepted into. Mostly Tony pushing Matt, and keeping him out of trouble both on and off duty. After the Marine Corps, Tony moved back to Montana, where the third member of their trio, Bobby, eventually got all of them hired onto a Wildland Fire Handcrew. Tony is now a Rappeller with the Salmon Heli-Rappellers, enjoying his mountain man lifestyle, and is happily married to his wife, Rachel.

Jenny Jose

Bridesmaid

Jenny and Divya grew up in the same church in Houston. The two also went to middle school and high school together. Divya can recount several happy memories with Jenny from church choir, to Spring Break in Destin, to all the many foodie adventures they took part in while living in Houston. Jenny has also played an important role in Divya's life as a friend who truly pointed her to Christ in all circumstances. The bride is eternally grateful for this friendship and looks forward to more hangouts following moving back to Texas.

Bobby Devoy

Groomsman

Bobby met the gang when they all got shipped to the same unit and stationed in Twentynine-Palms, CA. Bobby and Matt were roomies through their first deployment, and became friends through much misery and shenanigans during this time. After getting out of the Marines, Bobby moved to his home state of Colorado for a short time where he started working on Fire Science studies. It wasn’t long before he moved to Montana, and got hired into Wildland Fire. He has seven seasons of fire fighting under his belt, and has worked in a variety of dynamic and high responsibility jobs in his field. He enjoys hunting and hockey in his off season.

Nicole Eapen

Bridesmaid

Nicole and Divya met one summer at VBS during those awkward, but endearing adolescent years. Little did they know that they were forming a lifelong friendship. Despite distance and transitioning through life phases, Divya always knew that her friendship with Nicole would never deteriorate. Nicole's kindness, encouragement, and sense of humor have been a ray of sunshine many times in Divya's life. The bride looks forward to moving back to Texas to grow this friendship even more!

Beckie Dryer

Bridesmaid

Beckie and Divya met in 2018 at a wedding in Michigan. The two had no idea how strong of a bond they would form despite Beckie living in Arizona and Divya living in Texas. Though most of their friendship was long distance, some of the bride's favorite memories of Beckie are their FaceTime Bible studies. 2023 was a very meaningful year for Divya, in that she was able to accept a contract in Phoenix and watch Beckie become a phenomenal mother!
