Rideshare Note

Uber and other rideshare services operate in larger cities like Rome and Milan, but they are not available in most of Tuscany and Siena. For getting around locally, taxis and private drivers are the best options. We recommend a pre-booked private driver because they are the most reliable. Please reserve in advance, especially for late nights or early mornings, if you’re not using the event shuttles.

Flight

Leonardo da Vinci International Airport - or - Amerigo Vespucci Airport

We recommend flying into Rome through Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO) or Florence through Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR). Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO) is approximately 2 hours away from Laticastelli by car and Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR) is approximately an 1.5 hours away.

Rental Car Notes

If you plan on driving, we recommend you reserve a car in advance at your preferred car rental company that is available at the airport you fly into. To rent a car in Italy, you need a valid driver's license, a credit card for a security deposit, a passport and an International Driving Permit (IDP). An IDP can be attained at AAA beforehand. Many cities have a limited traffic zone (ZTL). Unless you have a special permit, you should avoid driving into these areas as you may be fined.

Tickets can be purchased online, through the Trenitalia app, or ticket machines.
