What does "riverside retreat" mean?

Answer

Think summer camp for adults (and their kids.) Brown Mountain Beach Resort property borders Wilson Creek, a wild and scenic river. We will be spending a few days hanging out river side with optional activities like tubing, paddle boarding and simply relaxing. All on site lodging will also be along the river.

What are my lodging options?

Answer

You won't need to spend time or energy searching or stressing over lodging. There will be either on-site yurts and cottages, or hotel rooms at Fairfield Inn & Suites Morganton delegated and reserved specifically for you and your guest/family. You will receive an email once we have your RSVP and it is time to book your lodging!

Will transportation be provided if I have to book hotel lodging off site?

Answer

For an *additional fee* ($150 per hour) there will be an optional trolley available for shuttle service between the resort and the hotel (Fairfield Inn & Suites, Morganton.) The cost can be split between any parties wanting to use this service and we can coordinate times to keep the cost down. The trolley can run anytime up until 11pm as needed/requested and can hold up to 22 passengers. Otherwise you will need to have a vehicle to travel between the two locations. *Please note: We do not have Uber/Lyft available in this area.*

Does the resort have cell phone service?

Answer

Nope! We are in the Pisgah National Forest, where cell phone service does not reach. We love this! We want to invite you to put up ALL your devices and be present with your family and friends. Trust us, with 38,000 acres of rugged mountains surrounding us and beautiful Wilson Creek right at your finger tips, there is more than plenty to do! If needed, we do have WiFi up at our Rock Pavilion and main deck area.

Is Brown Mountain Beach Resort pet friendly?

Answer

Yes! We love all animals and Wilson Creek is a pet heaven! We do ask that they remain on a leash at all times. If you are bringing your pet with you, there is a $25 fee per pet, per unit.

Do I need to bring linens, towels, or toiletries for Brown Mountain lodging?

Answer

No! We have all of your bedding, towels and toiletries. Bring a hair dryer if needed!

Do I have to attend all three nights?

Answer

You can stay for 2-3 nights depending on your schedule and availability. Our Wedding is set for Tuesday, June 9th. Both options for accommodations require a minimum two-night stay.

What meals are provided?

Answer

Dinner will be provided on Tuesday (wedding reception) and a farewell breakfast will be provided on Wednesday morning.

Options for food outside of covered meals?

Answer

Plan ahead for: Sunday - dinner Monday - breakfast, lunch & dinner Tuesday - breakfast & lunch There is an on-site coffee shop and cafe available as an option for breakfast and lunch with in-cabin/yurt delivery! Menu available at https://brownmountainbeach.com/cafe-and-dining/ (Copy and paste link to your browser) On-site lodging will include either a kitchen or kitchenette, and a grill so you can bring your own groceries. There is also a grilling area with a Blackstone flat top/grill in the main hub for group cook-outs. The resort is about 20 minutes from downtown Morganton and downtown Lenoir which are full of fun restaurants and breweries, and 30 minutes from Blowing Rock NC.

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Official invitations will be sent out three months before the wedding, but feel free to RSVP anytime through the website if you are already certain. RSVP must be complete by April 30th, 2026.
