Our story began as Rob and Ashley Fouch teamed up with Chris and Alli Ashman to set the two of us up. Ashley said, "Marcella, I have the perfect guy for you. He is the male version of you!" Chris was doing the same with Rick at work.

After a lot of convincing on both ends, Rick asked me to be his plus one to a wedding on May 1st, 2021. I felt like I would be missing out on something really special if I didn't go with him. There was an instant spark between us!

He text me immediately after dropping me off that night that he wanted to see me again. Of course I said yes! We went on another date, and then finally another the week after. Since the third week, we have been inseparable! 

We spent all summer together until I had to leave for college in August. There were 133 days in the fall semester. I wrote Rick 133 love letters for him to open once a day. Little did we know that on that final day of the semester, December 17th, Rick would ask me to marry him...
