It was January 27, 2017. I had driven from Tallulah to go to my line sister’s boyfriend’s birthday dinner. We met up at my linesister’s apartment to pregame(of course). I knocked on the door, and yep you guessed it....Tony opened the door, and we locked eyes. I had never seen a man look at me the way he did....He looked at me like I was everything he had been praying for....Somehow, I knew that this man would be in my life, even though I had sworn off relationships, and he knew also...As soon as I walked in, I said “Let’s take a shot!” We took shots, and then we conversed until the party bus came....We made it to dinner and of course, he made his way by me😊 We talked and laughed more. I remember his personality and sense of humor being unmatched, one of the many reasons I fell in love with him.....If you know Speedy, you know that he jokes about everything!! Dinner ended, and he did the cutest gesture...He took my to go plate and carried it back to the party bus. It’s been 4 years, and I have never touched a to go plate😊 Moving on....We made it back to his homeboy and my linesister’s apartment. I thought the night had ended and he would just be a person I met....So, I walked to my car to head home....I see someone jogging to my car, and then I hear a tap on my window....Yeah, you guessed it....It was Speedy. He asked for my number, and he texted to make sure I got home safely. From that moment forward, we would sit on the phone for hours and talk about anything and everything. I was in Tallulah, and he was in Houston, Texas....Our phones kept us connected until we both moved to Dallas after a year. I remember going to a company party that December in Dallas, and he introduced me as his girlfriend...At that point, he made his intentions clear, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Moral of the story, when we locked eyes on January 27, 2017, we both knew that we’d leave imprints on each other’s hearts that would last forever, and here we are lasting forever.
