FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal, (black tie optional.) We encourage suits for men and long dresses for women

Question

What dates do you recommend arriving and departing?

Answer

Our wedding is during a beautiful time of year in Florida and the day before Easter Sunday, so you may want to expand your trip. The only official day is Saturday the 30th, and those who are in the wedding party will need to arrive early on Friday the 29th for the rehearsal dinner. Easter Sunday has no official plans, but we encourage friends and family to enjoy the pool and mingle together if they would like. The bride and groom will depart for their honeymoon on Monday, April 1st.

Question

Can I bring children? What are the child care services available?

Answer

As much as we love and adore your little ones, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception as an adults-only event. To ensure your children are in safe care during the wedding, we have researched and found these two great options who will come to your hotel room for child care and entertaining the kids. Option A: A Tender Loving Care Service Recommended by The Hyatt Regency Resort as their go-to nanny vendor for guests. Established in 1990 and all-women operated local business. Comes to the room with 4 hour min at $30/hr. Comes with age-appropriate toys and all sitters are official with the company (unlike an agency service). Takes care of *All* ages including newborns. http://atlcservice.com/ 239-598-1515 Option B: Elegant Event Centers Recommended by our wedding planner as her go-to childcare vendor for clients. This is a local company that often supports weddings just like ours. What makes their services stand out is they provide multiple activities for kids & snacks. Their pricing can be found here under “Kids Reception”. https://eleganteventsitters.com/state-pricing/florida/ 888-262-2838 Note: It is recommended that parents of similar-aged kids partner up for them to play together and share in the activities hosted by the caregiver.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on your invitation so we ask that you do not bring any extra guests. If your guest name is listed on your invite or when you RSVP then yes, otherwise, we ask to keep the wedding as intimate as possible with close friends and family.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be transportation provided to and from the hotels we have listed and the venue. If you decide to stay at another hotel than what we have listed or Airbnb, we cannot provide transportation as our transport will have a set route.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes. Please check the website section "Travel," where we have provided two hotels with which we have worked out deals and room blocks. Personalized links are listed to book through to get the discounted rates. Please remember that our wedding falls on a holiday weekend, so rates are higher than usual. We have worked out the best deal we could with the provided hotels.

Question

Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The cocktail hour, wedding ceremony, and reception will all be held outdoors amongst the beautiful, magical space that our venue offers.

Question

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?

Answer

We will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We kindly ask that everyone is present during our ceremony and that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We have hired an incredibly talented photographer and videographer to capture this special day and will be happy to share them. After the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you would like.

Question

Are there other events around the wedding I should know about?

Answer

Yes. We will be sending out formal invitations soon so you have an exact idea of what to be expecting.
