Akash and Disha first met in February 2022 at an event in South Carolina. They had heard about each other from mutual friends and thanks to them, plus the short drive between Atlanta and Augusta, their relationship kicked off. From being "just friends" who FaceTimed every single night to being road warriors who knew the route between cities by memory, it was obvious this relationship was more than a simple friendship. Between the road, beach, mountain, and international trips over three years, they became inseparable and Akash knew what he had to do. In March of 2025, with help from friends, family, a photographer, and a perfect weather forecast, everything was ready. After a drive through Germany, followed by a ferry between countries, Akash surprised Disha on the island of Mainau and asked her to spend forever with him. Happily for all of us, Disha responded with an enthusiastic "Yes!" Now, Akash and Disha are beyond excited to celebrate their wedding weekend with their favorite people. They can't wait to sing, dance, and laugh the weekend away.
