What is the best way to get there on the day of the event?

Answer

To get to the villa on the day of the event, we HIGHLY recommend booking a Taxi in advance both ways, through the local Taxi company recommended by our venue, called Taxi Siena. You can book a taxi by calling or texting them. Their website http://www.taxisiena.it/ Their number: +39 0577 49222 Driving is also an option if you are not planning on drinking alcohol. Villa di Geggiano has a parking lot that can fit up to 40 cars. The parking lot is immediately to the left of the main entrance. 📍 IMPORTANT LOCATION INFORMATION: Address to main entrance: Via Mari A., 1, 53019 Castelnuovo Berardenga SI, Italy Drop off point for main entrance and parking lot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/42J7KgMLZ4SRRZzr6 IMPORTANT: Do not put “Villa di Geggiano” in Google Maps, because the directions will take you to the back of the property instead of entrance.

What's the best way to get around locally?

Answer

We highly recommend renting a car. There are no Ubers in the area an booking taxis can be complicated, too. It's the countryside!

What about COVID and traveling?

Answer

If you are coming from abroad, you may be required to present a vaccine card or negative Covid test by local authorities. Travel restrictions vary from country to country and are constantly changing, so please make sure to check what you are required to present. Entry to Italy requirements: https://wiki.unece.org/display/CTRBSBC/Italy We HIGHLY recommend getting a booster shot at least 2 weeks before traveling. Covid is still going around all over the world. We have acquaintances both in Italy, as well as the US who have had it (again) recently. It would suck to catch Covid right before your travel and have to miss the wedding + waste your money.

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

If your invitation on the RSVP page says “and Guest" after you entered your name, then yes. If not, the invitation is just for you. If you think something doesn't look right, please check with us.

Should I expect a physical invitation in the mail?

Answer

Nope. We have opted for the more eco-friendly option, and we we will not be sending any paper invites. This website should become your best friend for this wedding and all the relevant information. Please save it or bookmark it, and be sure to check back for updates.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence is the best gift we could possibly ask for. We really appreciate everyone traveling to celebrate with us! Please don't bring us presents, as it would be difficult for us to get them back to California. :) If you desire to give nonetheless, a contribution to our newlywed fund would be the best way to give (check out our Registry page).

What should I wear?

Answer

The theme of the event is 70's / Disco. Theme attire is encouraged, but not required. Alternatively, please wear cocktail attire (or whatever you would normally wear at a wedding). The wedding will be taking place outdoors. The ground is a combination between gravel areas and grass areas, so make sure you wear appropriate shoes! Hopefully nice and sunny! It's looking like a hot June in Tuscany this year! The weather forecast is currently saying it will be "partly sunny and very warm", with the highest temperature reaching 32 °C (89 °F), while the lowest will be around 20 °C (68 °F).
