We're getting married!!

What started as a lowly college job for both of us was the start of a relationship neither of us expected. God took the least expected place and turned it into the birthplace of us. After being on leave for the summer and almost quitting, I, Isabella, came back to work on January 12 where I saw a man I'd never seen before; Stephen Goddard I soon found out was his name. Instantly, we were both drawn to each other, not knowing we both were both feeling the same. Sunday after Sunday, we went to work, getting to know each other more and more. Stephen had a light in his eyes and a glimmer in his smile that I had never seen in another person before, and I gravitated towards it like a moth to a flame. Despite every circumstance in his life at the time, he still radiated Jesus' love to everyone around him. When I, Stephen, came back from a leave during that same winter. I walked into our department just like any other day, when this girl, out of the corner of my eye, catches not only my sight but also my ear. I heard her talking about her life and testimony to an older lady at our work. But as one does, I kept it in my mind and heart and continued to work till I could muster the confidence to communicate with such a fine gal. I was caught by the calmness and peace she had about her. Quiet and kept to herself but having something that can only be described as the heaviest tug on my heart from God to be in her presence. From those moments on, I knew that it was only necessary to try to be a part of her world. Finally we hung out outside of work and got to see each other in a new light. Despite the unfortunate circumstances of that night and several drunk friends, we did not stop talking and laughing the whole time. When I got home that night I sent that risky text telling Stephen "i like you more than a friend, if you don't feel that I understand" and sure enough, that boy felt just the same. We started officially dating not long after that night on February 22, 2025. We fit together perfectly, unlike anything we had ever experienced before. You always hear from married couples, "when you know you know" which you think to be laughable, but when we met, we knew instantly it was true. God had proved His faithfulness, love, and grace to both of us through this relationship, making every bump and dark season worth it. We have decided to get married this May, doing a small intimate ceremony at the Capitol with just immediate family, due to Stephen and I moving soon after his graduation. The following May we will be celebrating our 1-year anniversary, holding a vow renewal ceremony and reception back in Omaha where we will be asking more family and friends to join!
