Dane and Dionne first met in college, at Binghamton University in the fall semester of 2014. Dionne first caught Dane's eye on campus as he made his way to meet a fraternity brother. During their college years, they spent a lot of their time outside of class together. They thoroughly enjoyed each other's company - you'd rarely see Dane without Dionne and vice versa! Greek social life brought them even closer together when Dionne joined her sorority in 2016. Dates at Denny's, late night walks by the Chenango bridge, and never-ending conversion created some of the best early memories of their relationship. After 7 years of friendship and true love, Dane decided it was time to crown his queen.

After a beautifully intimate dinner, Dane asked Dionne if they could go over to the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree to take a picture together. Although it was very cold, and she was not appropriately dressed for the winter weather, Dionne reluctantly walked with him over to the tree. Dane had rallied some coworkers to be on standby in the area to take pictures. Once the pictures were taken, Dane's coworkers did a great job of distracting Dionne, encouraging her to turn away and look at the pictures on the phone. Meanwhile, Dane got down on one knee. As people around her started gasping, Dee turned around and Dane proposed ♥. She said YES of course, many times!!
