I first met Kevin at Fort Lee, as a Marine. Over the years, he has grown to be more then just a friend but a brother to me. He’s always there when I need some advice or just have a good time. We have been through a lot together good and bad. Kevin is someone I can call my brother. He is the real definition of a true friend. One thing for sure we have many memories on 2’s all the way to MIA.

When I first met Kevin in Iraq. He had just gotten into it with his superior and all I heard was don’t piss him off. My first interaction with him was in the back of a Hmmv getting chow from the hot box. He always serves others first and put himself second. A quality like that in a person in this day in age is nearly impossible to find and that scenario has set the standard for how I treat him and how he has always treated me and for that I’m externally grateful. Throughout the years no matter if it was for advice, guidance, or just an open ear to vent he’s always been there. Our friendship has evolved into a brothership because whether it’s in arms and with/out blood he is my brother. One phrase that I have learned to embrace through his example is, Am I my brother’s keeper? Yes, I am.

I’ve known Kevin since 2013 . He has always called to check up on me just to make sure I’m alive. Knowing I was young living in Virginia, he took me under his wing and called me little brother. I took to the heart and he was the first person I called to make sure he was at my promotion. We definitely have some good memories from Richmond, Petersburg and all the way to Virginia Beach.
