SeaWorld San Diego
San Diego locals can be found roaming the park at Sea World anytime of the week. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or as a couple, they have the perfect package to suit your needs and budget. Personally, Dino and I only went during COVID, so we will have to take another trip to see more of their shows and get their dining wristband! (Maybe I can convince him to take me to swim with the dolphins) hehe
San Diego Zoo
The San Diego Zoo is located in Balboa Park, minutes from downtown San Diego, where parking is free! Dino and I visited the San Diego Zoo the day before he proposed to me. We love riding the Skyfari--Take an airborne shortcut over the treetops to the other end of the Zoo, and enjoy spectacular views of the Zoo and surrounding Balboa Park.
Hotel del Coronado
If you are in the Coronado area, stop by the iconic Hotel Del Coronado to explore their ocean front dining options, array of beach inspired shopping, or book a time with their spa services.
The Henry
Coronado is a vibrant beach town with plenty of shopping and eating down Orange Avenue. The Henry is a favorite local hangout. Stop by the cafe window for a quick coffee or sit down and relax.
Cafe Coyote
This area of San Diego is known as Old Town, and is considered the oldest settled area in San Diego. Stop by Cafe Coyote for fresh handmade tortillas being made outside of the restaurant! This is where I took Dino the first time he came to visit San Diego with me!
Cow-A-Bunga Ice Cream & Coffee
Head down to the Imperial Beach pier to enjoy our favorite spot to get ice cream. Ask about their House Special--when ice cream meets coffee.
Little Italy
Little Italy is a chic, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, packed with trendy cocktail bars, brewpubs and restaurants with bustling patios. Upscale clothing boutiques, indie music venues and quaint piazzas dot the area, while the weekly Little Italy Mercato Farmers’ Market draws crowds to its mix of produce, gourmet food and craft stalls. The green lawns of Waterfront Park have fountains, and offer views of the bay.
