Yes, we love seeing all of our beautiful little friends and family members, just make a note to include them in your RSVP. Be sure if you decide to bring your children to keep an eye out at the reception as our venue is surrounded by water. We will have children's tables throughout the venue that will have activities to keep the party going for your little ones and a full service buffet so everyone can eat what they want when they want! :)
We do not have room blocks, but we did try to make the wedding ceremony and reception close to the capital city, Agrostoli and close to the Kefalonia Airport. We have also arranged a shuttle service in those areas for easy pick up and drop up between celebrations!
July and August in Greece are the hottest months of the year. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit and sunblock if you would like to see some of the world's most beautiful beaches during your stay. Some of our favorite beaches close to home are Avithos Beach or Ai Helis near the airport.
Don't forget to pack an adapter to charge your phone and electronics or to use your favorite heat styling tools. Here is a link to one you can find on Amazon: https://a.co/d/9ck7StL Greece is 7 hours ahead of Eastern Time, so make sure you plan accordingly for possible jet lag! Remain active and wait for a normal bedtime before falling asleep. If you do nap only do so for 30 minutes, any longer will make your jet lag worse. If it's daytime when you arrive at your destination, spend as much time outside as you can. Exposure to sunlight will help your brain adjust to the new time zone. Realign your circadian rhythm by grounding yourself and drinking lots of water. Greece uses the Euro as its currency, and businesses only accept Euros for payment. It's a good idea to carry some Greece currency for cash transactions, especially in remote areas. The best way to get euros in Greece is to exchange American dollars for euros before arriving at a certified location. Foreign currency can be exchanged at most Greek and foreign banks and at exchange bureaus located at Athens International Airport, Piraeus port, and around the city centre. You will need your passport to exchange money. **American Express is usually not accepted if you prefer to use your bank cards. If you decide to rent a car, we advise that you make your reservations before arriving to the island, as supply and demand for cars during their busy seasons may fluctuate along with the pricing. Be sure to check that you are renting an automatic or a manual, as manual drive is the norm on the island. You may also see that the price of gas is very different as they charge per liter versus the gallon.
There will be a streaming service to tune in live from the comforts of your home to watch our special day--or even a recording posted. We will also be continuing our celebrations in the upcoming Fall in San Diego. More details soon! (Should you ever get a chance to visit Greece in the future, make sure you keep Kefalonia at the top of your list!)
