How did we meet?

We are highschool sweethearts! Before becoming friends, Mary was dared to greet Nick with a funny face and a big hug. All Nick was thinking at the time was “Who the heck is this weird girl?” And all she thought was “Wow, he is tall”. Since freshmen year, we ended up being in the same classes, and he ended up finding out I had a pretty normal face and was a pretty cool kid. We both also became part of the schools volleyball team. When it was the off season for the boys or girls team, we both assisted the team during games and practices. We then started to become closer over the years. Spring of junior year hits and thats when our friendship started to spark! On 04/12/14, thats when we made it official! We were by each others side and were inseparable. He even joined choir to be with me (and to also get out of harder classes). Now who knew these two opposites would love each other this much? Especially the weird girl.

What is your proposal story?

12/25/2020

Its Christmas season! Our first Christmas spent together with our loving baby pittie. We had some plans to take Christmas photos either on Christmas Eve or Christmas day all at home and with our phones. Nick had asked me a few days before which day I wanted to do it on. I didnt really mind as long as we had some Christmas photos taken. Little did I know, Nick had other plans. Christmas day arrives and I am excited to open presents together and can’t wait to capture photos of Tates first Christmas. We all get in our matching pajamas, open up gifts, and set up to take Christmas photos. After a few lovely photos, I start to record us because I thought we would get some really great photos out of it. That is when Nick knew this was the perfect time. He makes an excuse and tells me that he has one more gift for Tate and it is downstairs. I am told to close my eyes, stand and wait till they are back with the surprise. At this point, I still had no clue what was going on. Once they get back, Nick said “Open your eyes! Look at Tate” I was a bit confused and saw a pink bandana. After a bit, I was able to get her to stop turning so I can read it. The bandana says “Will you Marry my dad?” And that is when Nick got on one knee, and asked me to marry him. Champange was popped, calls were made, and so many happy tears. And here we are. Waiting to celebrate this special day, with you!
