Things to do in Beacon and the Hudson Valley!
Storm King Art Center

Storm King Art Center

1 Museum Road, New Windsor, NY 12553

Just south of Newburgh, NY, Storm King is a massive outdoor sculpture park.

Kingston

Kingston

Kingston, NY 12401

New York's first state capital, Kingston is just 45 minutes north of Beacon and the place where we got engaged! There's great shopping and excellent bars and restaurants. We love it there. If you plan on going, reach out and we'll give you our specific recs!

Beacon Falls Cafe

Beacon Falls Cafe

472 Main Street, Beacon, NY 12508

The best breakfast in Beacon. The pancakes are must try. Be prepared to wait a little, but it's so worth it.

Dia Beacon

Dia Beacon

3 Beekman Street, Beacon, NY 12508

FYI: It's closed on Wednesdays. Otherwise, and excellent collection of modern art, right off the train in Beacon.

New York Renaissance Faire

New York Renaissance Faire

600 New York 17A, Tuxedo Park, NY 10987

The New York Renaissance faire happens weekends starting in August in Tuxedo Park, NY. Obviously, you're busy on the Sunday, but it's a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon ;-)

Fishkill Farms

Fishkill Farms

9 Fishkill Farm Road, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533

If you're going to be upstate, you have to go to one of the many farms/orchards! Only 10 minutes from the hotels in Fishkill, this one was great to walk through and pick apples and flowers, as well as sitting outside at their cider bar and trying the many varieties they make. Also, apple cider donuts. Gotta get some apple cider donuts.

Sloop Brewing Co.

Sloop Brewing Co.

755 East Drive, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533

Sloop Brewing is also just down the road from the Fishkill hotels and in addition to tasty beers, their kitchen is churning out some solid eats, and they've got some fun arcade games in their taproom to play! Worth the visit for sure.
