When should I arrive if I want to attend the full trip?

Answer

We encourage you to arrive to Cairo by October 18 the latest as our tours will begin the following day. Please be aware that Cairo is 10 hours ahead of Vancouver so make sure you plan accordingly.

How much money should I budget for the trip?

Answer

Here is a breakdown of estimated costs: - Rountrip flights ~$2,000 - Cairo Accomodation for 7-9 nights ~$200-400 per person - Hurghada Accomodation for 5 nights ~$400-$600 per person - Pocket money $300-$500 Be sure to bring cash, as not all places in Egypt accept credit or debit cards.

What are the recommended flight routes and layovers for traveling to Egypt?

Answer

The most convenient flights are typically one-stop flights through European hubs. London is usually the easiest layover, but we recommend planning for at least 2 hours at Heathrow Airport. Other possible layovers include Paris, Munich, Zurich, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Toronto, or Montreal. If you’re unsure which option is best, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

Will transportation be arranged for us throughout the trip?

Answer

Yes! A tour company will be coordinating our transportation so that everyone can travel together in one vehicle during our time in Cairo, including for all-day tours and on the wedding day.

What should I pack for the trip, and what’s the weather like in October?

Answer

October in Egypt is generally warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures in the high 20s–low 30s °C and cooler evenings. We recommend packing lightweight, breathable clothing such as linen and flowy clothes, long dresses, and skirts. Bring a scarf to cover your shoulders when visiting holy sites. In Cairo, we don’t recommend shorts or anything above the knee, but in Hurghada, you’re free to dress more casually, including swimwear for the Red Sea. Don’t forget comfortable shoes for walking, a hat, sunscreen, and your wedding or other formal attire for the celebrations!
