In the beginning... November of 2020, I matched with a woman on Facebook dating who went by Cee Davis. Her profile said she loved wine and football and she was from both Atlanta and Hawaii. At that time I liked the idea of dating a woman from the South or an island girl... Ms. Cee Davis was both :). With her having similar interests in sports and drinking, I chose to break the ice with 2 simple questions; Who's your team and what's your favorite wine? From there we went multiple days having great conversations, organic conversations. Nothing was forced, nothing seemed awkward, just fun talks that led to the exchange of phone numbers and social media handles other than Facebook AND our first date! Dave and Buster's in Virginia...the place we can say that gave us the first real look at each other and let's just say, I liked what I saw lol. I enjoyed our time together. Going into the New Year, 2021, I made it a weekly thing to see Camille. At that time she lived in Fairfax, Virginia, about an hour from where I lived in Odenton, Maryland. I had no problem making that trip every weekend because I liked having someone I could go see but more importantly, I liked having someone who liked and wanted to see me. At that time my mind was everywhere but in a good place. However, being with Camille helped put my mind at ease and even if it was just for one day or night, if Camille said I could come over, oh best believe I was on the way! Our relationship had its ups and downs that year but December 18, 2021, I wanted to make it clear that I wanted to take this to the next level and asked her to be my girlfriend. After what we'd been through I wasn't sure she'd want to but I should've noticed her patience and willingness at that time. Because not too long after that Camille would move closer to me in Severn, MD. We had talked about moving in together and I knew wherever she moved I would find a way to get there and be with her. But she chose to move closer and it didn't take me long to decide on whether or not to move in. So soon as I got the chance I packed everything in my little room I had and made her place, OUR place. To this day Camille and I have had our fair share of heated arguments, discussions that led to us potentially ending what we had worked so hard to keep together. As I stated before, Camille's patience and willingness to work things out are the main reasons we're still here. And that's why on Valentine's Day of 2024, when she gave me a tearful YES to my proposal, I became the happiest I've ever been!! Because it means that everything we've been through from beginning to now makes our tomorrow and future absolutely worth it! This is merely a small summary of what our story is about but our full story belongs between a book cover or even on-screen. One that would play a place like The Clay Theatre ;). I can't wait to marry my best friend, my partner-in-crime, the true star of this story!! See y'all then!
Alright, so boom. It was Peak Covid times and ya girl needed the extra human connections so I decided to give Facebook dating a try. Yall, Dimitri's pics were FINEEE okay, FINE FINE. We starting talking and honestly once he told me he was a Cowgir.. I mean Cowboys fan I should've ran. Then again, I'm a Falcons fan that can definitely relate to the heartbreak season after season. LOL Our conversations were great - the Southern Belle turned Island girl had him hooked lol. I remember after our first date to David and Busters (where I'm pretty sure I won most games) I called my sisters Briana & Tierra saying this man will be my future husband! Call me Ms. Cleo, because baby I predicted it! Dimitri quickly became my person. Life is so easy with him. Not too many men decide to stick around with a partner that has a disability with chronic random flare ups. When I say Dimitri has never left my side, I mean just that. Through the hard nights, long hospital stays and procedures - Dimitri has proven to be Superman. There hasn't been a limit to what he will do for me. I don't think there's enough words that'll ever really express my gratitude and thankfulness for him. Dimitri is truly my bestest friend. Since November 2020, we enjoyed the ups of downs of getting to know each other while living life on our own terms. My boy is always down to ride & we've created some of the best memories through our road trips, concerts, game nights and so much more. If you've been around us you know first hand we play all day - we've learned to read each other perfectly and will often say the same things at the same time.. On 09.20.25 the next chapter begins and I'm beyond excited and ready to spend the rest of my life loving & creating memories with my best friend. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone - it'll be one for the books!
