The 2016 Chicago Cubs winning the World Series and our relationship have one thing in common, both were extremely unlikely to occur. On October 29, 2016 a connecting flight from Detroit forever changed the course of our lives. It was early in the morning and people were still boarding the plane when I asked the woman sitting next to me, "Are you excited about the Cubs in the World Series?" The woman stared blankly and immediately left her seat. Shortly after, Anthony walked down the aisle and bumped into the same woman, "Excuse me ma'm, I believe you are in the wrong seat." The woman turned around and pointed to the empty seat next to me and told Anthony, "Let's trade." The rest is history.

With NYC's hustle and bustle around the holidays, Anthony wanted to "redo" my birthday on December 21, 2019. He planned an afternoon long spa day followed by drinks with friends at The Aviary and dinner at Asiate in Columbus Circle. At the end of our dinner, I knew something was up when our waitress delivered two hot cocoas to-go and a suspicious black bag. Anthony took me for a walk in Central Park where a horse and carriage awaited us. We rode through Central Park and were dropped off at Cherry Hill Fountain. Anthony grabbed my hand and we walked to the middle of Bow Bridge. After smiling incessantly at each other, he knelt down on one knee and popped the question. Of course, the answer was "YES!"
