How We Met - Her Perspective

I met Austin on my very first day at The Ohio State University when I moved into the apartment complex he was living at. This was a moment that marked the beginning of something I never could have anticipated. From the start, there was an effortless ease between us. I was later surprised to learn that he was also from Canton, making our connection feel all the more unexpected. As the years passed, we became best friends, growing closer within a larger circle of friends while navigating college life and beginning to build our futures. Through every season, our friendship remained a constant. What began as friendship gradually became something more. It was not a sudden realization, but rather a natural progression that, in hindsight, felt inevitable. As our relationship deepened, I fell in love not only with Austin, but with the life and values that shaped him. I came to admire his work ethic, authenticity, and dependability. I cherish the warmth of his family and feel grateful for the sisters I gained along the way. Our story feels both serendipitous and intentional, as though every step from that first day on campus to where we are today led us exactly where we were meant to be. I feel incredibly lucky that our paths crossed in college, and even luckier that I soon get to call Austin my husband.

How We Met - His Perspective

I met Gia on her first day at The Ohio State University. What began as a simple introduction quickly grew into a genuine friendship. Throughout college, we remained close, creating countless memories and building a connection that neither of us fully understood at the time. Looking back, some of my favorite moments were the ones we shared simply as friends. After graduation, I returned home to begin my career while Gia remained in Columbus to attend PA school. Despite the distance, we found ourselves talking more than ever before. What had started as friendship gradually evolved into something deeper, and before long, it became clear that what we shared was far more than either of us had imagined. When Gia eventually returned to Canton, there was no looking back. As I came to know her more deeply, I fell in love with her kindness, her unwavering dedication to those she loves, and the values that guide her every day. Her devotion to family, compassion for others, and ability to bring warmth and joy wherever she goes are just a few of the qualities I admire most. Gia inspires me daily through her intelligence, her strength, and the way she challenges me to become the best version of myself. She is not only the love of my life, but also my closest friend and greatest source of support. I am endlessly grateful to be building a future with the woman I love.
