What is the dress code?

Answer

The attire for our wedding is Black Tie Optional with Garden Party Inspiration! Guests are encouraged to dress in formal attire such as tuxedos, dark suits, gowns, or cocktail dresses. With our celebration set in the gardens of Glen Manor House, garden-inspired details like florals, soft pastels, and airy fabrics are a perfect touch.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on the lawn overlooking the gardens and the water, followed by a reception indoors and on the terrace. We recommend bringing a light wrap or jacket in case the evening air becomes cool.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, parking will be available at Glen Manor. We kindly recommend allowing a few extra minutes for parking upon arrival and encourage carpooling or ridesharing for your convenience.

After The Wedding

Answer

We strongly suggest pre-scheduling an Uber or other ride services as a primary method of return. There will be a bus available as well, with a capacity of 40 people. It will be stopping first at Schooners Bar where we are having an informal afterparty, followed by a stop at East Island Reserve Hotel, and then finally at The Pell Hotel.

Are children welcome?

As much as we adore your little ones, we have chosen for this to be an adults-only celebration. We thank you for your understanding and hope you enjoy a relaxing evening in their stead.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please let us know of any dietary needs when you RSVP. We will be delighted to make every effort to accommodate your requests.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation includes a guest, their name will be indicated on your RSVP. We kindly ask that you honor the names listed, as we are planning an intimate celebration.

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

While we won’t be offering a room block, we recommend The Pell Hotel in Middletown — it’s stylish, comfortable, and conveniently located near our venue. There are also plenty of wonderful places to stay in Newport, from charming inns to boutique waterfront hotels. We suggest booking early, as the area tends to fill up quickly that time of year! Please reach out to Zach or Meghan if you would like further recommendations on Newport and Middletown hotels or Airbnb’s!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so everyone can unplug and enjoy!
