Maid of Honor
I remember when she was born, and I cried because I didn't want my mom to stay at the hospital with her. Since then, I have witnessed her sledding down steps in dinner trays, hanging out on top of the fridge, and throwing chairs at me when she was mad. I also haven't slept without one eye open in nearly 19 years, but life would be so boring without her. Everyone needs a Mary. -Abby
Bridesmaid
Our friendship started 6 years ago, when we were both looking for roommates at Bloomsburg University, and didn't realize we were the only normal two out of the 5 that lived together. Since then, we haven't stopped sharing bad memes and complaining about our lives to each other, and I wouldn't have it any other way. -Abby
Maid of Honor
She's the one that's more like a sister than a friend. From when we were 5 running around with our two blonde ponytails, to when she had a growth spurt (and I didn't) so our parents could finally tell us apart, the past 20 years she has been one of the only constants in my life, and I see that continuing for another 20 (and another 20 after that). My longtime best friend. -Abby
Bridesmaid
Another new friend, but an important one all the same. The one that makes me feel normal when I'm going crazy, and who doesn't judge me when I'm grumpy and ready to fight the next person that looks at me funny. The one who I know is going to hype me up when I (inevitably) freak out about my dress being too tight, or a hair being out of place, and the one that will down orange crushes with me at the reception. -Abby
Flower Girl
I don't have to worry about this one being a teenager, because she's already 7 going on 17. I love it, though, because she's usually on my side and directing the sass at her crazy brother. She is crazy, smart as they come, and always excited for life. I wouldn't have a wedding without her in it. -Abby
Flower Girl
This is the one I've known practically since birth, and I still refuse to believe she is older than 2. She always gets excited to see me (less when I don't have Max with me, but I'll take my wins where I can get them), and I hope she never loses her fun, loving, crazy personality. I can't wait, and am equally terrified, to see her grow, and really can't wait to see how cute she's going to be as a flower girl. -Abby
Flower Girl
This girl is the one my kids better be just like, or I'll send them back (kidding...kinda). She is endlessly funny, and never lets you waste a snack. Also keeps Anthony humble, and might be the one to object at the wedding because she wants a house with all moms and only her dad (who can blame her?!) A little firecracker. -Abby
Best Man
I've known this *insert swear word here* (censoring by Abby) forever (literally). At times he thinks he's my dad. I think he was scared he wasn't going to be my best man, but he is (sadly). I told him I wanted a good best man speech, and knowing him it won't be done until the night before, or the second before. Even though I hate him, I can't wait for him to be there on my wedding day. -Anthony
Groomsman
It has been a short two years of knowing him, but it feels like years. And, he said after a few years, his friendships usually last, so he's stuck with me for life. He's not good at hockey, but he's good at other things, one of them being the best (adult) friend, mostly because he forced me to talk to him since I don't talk to anyone first, and I wouldn't have it any other way. -Anthony
Groomsman
I've known him since I was young. Playing sports, and doing everything else we could think of outside when our moms got sick of us making messes in the house, we would always get into fights over stupid stuff (which I always won). I was always stronger and taller than him when we were younger, then one day he decided to grow 8 feet tall, but I'm still stronger. We don't see each other as much these days, because of our busy schedules, but I can't wait to have him there on my wedding day. -Anthony
Groomsman
When I first met him I thought he was a super nice guy, calm and collected, with the best mustache I've ever seen. Then I saw his rage on the ice and decided I have to be on his team forever because I'm not playing against him. He's an animal on the ice, but a really good friend, and has the type of energy I need on my wedding day. Hopefully he remembers that he's in the wedding after all of the hits to the head. -Anthony
Groomsman
The first day he met me, he didn't know what to think. He waved hello from afar, like in a movie, while I was being introduced to the family. Now it's the opposite, once I show up, he comes running up for a hug (from me, not Abby) saying "schwanks, hewwo" (it's an insider thing). Whenever we go anywhere, I can't get rid of him, unless I sprint to my car and drive away, and even then he'd probably sneak into the back seat before I left, and I wouldn't have it any other way. -Anthony
Ring Bearer
When I first met him, he reminded me of myself. He was shy, and didn't want anything to do with me, which is how I was with everyone as a kid. That's not the case anymore. Now, any time he has a chance, he will throw a left or right hook as soon as he sees me, which I try to tell myself is out of love and not hate, and calls me loser all the time to keep me humble. He drives me crazy, but he's one of my favorite kids, and I know he'll guard our rings with his life. -Anthony
Ring Bearer
He reminds me of his brother, but he wasn't as shy when I first met him. He was a super nice and quiet kid, but now that he's used to me, he likes to throw insults and remind me that I always have more work to do on the ice, and "bust on me", as the young kids say. He beats me up as much as he can with his brother, which isn't much, since they're weak, but I love going over to see him and getting to be a kid again, and I wouldn't want to have a wedding without him there with us. -Anthony
