Semi-Formal. Suggestions: For Men - dress pants, blazer, button-up shirt For Women - mid-length/midi dress (nice sundress is appropriate), jumpsuit, wedges or sandals (low-heel or no heel) Dressed-up, but we want you to be comfortable playing lawn games in whatever you wear!
Grateful if you could RSVP by August 3rd. You can do so by going to the "RSVP" tab, and searching one of the full-names that appear on your invitation. You will be able to RSVP for just yourself, or for your party.
We will be eating brunch food at about 12:30pm. Please feel free to have something small to eat before arriving. Available, and complimentary, will be specialty coffees and teas. We will be providing three drink tickets per guest. Additional drinks can be purchased at the cash bar.
When RSVPing you will be asked to provide any dietary restrictions you have. We (and our caterer) will do everything we can to accommodate.
Please arrive by 11am to ensure you're seated on time for the ceremony. Any other details about timings can be found in our "Schedule" section.
While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request that phones be kept away during the ceremony as we will have a professional photographer capturing all the highlights. Don't worry, we'll be sharing the photos with you afterwards :) That said... Once the ceremony is over we would love for you to snap as many photos and videos as you can! Details of where you can share anything you've captured will be provided here closer to the wedding.
Please do not feel obliged to buy us a gift, your presence at our wedding is gift enough. If you would like to give something, a contribution towards our honeymoon/house fund would be greatly appreciated.
Please note that this will be an adults-only celebration, and we are only able to accommodate those who the invite is addressed to.
As the venue is outside the city, Uber and Taxis will be a pretty expensive method of transportation. There is plenty of parking on the premises, so we would suggest driving/carpooling! There will be someone in the parking lot to help direct you.
For our out-of-towners: As we will be having a day-time wedding, we have not booked a hotel block for the event. There are not any hotels nearby the venue, so we would suggest: - The Holiday Inn (Orleans) - Hampton Inn by Hilton Ottawa (Coventry Rd.) - An Airbnb in Navan, Orleans, or Gloucester. - If you'd like to stay in central Ottawa - though a bit further of a drive - we would recommend looking in Hintonburg, Westboro, the Glebe, or right Downtown for a nice walk-able area with plenty to do.
As we mention in our "Schedule", while the wedding will formally conclude at 5pm, we will be sticking around for a while (changing into comfier clothes, ordering some food, and doing tear-down of the wedding). The invitation is open to whoever would like to keep hanging out & take advantage of the fire pit that's on-site!
