Matron of Honor
Reb and I met through our gap year program right after high school, then we both ended up going to Liberty University. We don't know why, but it took us about a year to realize we were soulmates. Never in my life have I met a better friend, and I am honored to even know this one much less have her for LIFE. Reb is selfless, creative, and uniquely insightful. My pillow talking, local artist loving, theatre star, servant-hearted best friend, and biggest fan.
Best Man
Chevy and I met during my junior year at Liberty University. We were invited to a friend’s lake house and bonded over theology and avocado toast. What followed were many breakfasts at our dining hall and attending worship nights together. Chevy quickly became one of my closest friends and continues to deepen and sharpen my relationship with Christ. He is principled, intentional, quick-witted, and a lover of people.
Maid of Honor
Mozie and I first started our friendship in 6th grade at a youth group retreat, then pretty instantly became an inseparable pair. Over the years we slowly just started being integrated into each other's families, until one day we found ourselves attending Thanksgivings and having one another's house keys on our key chains. Mo cares about the little things, loves without condition, and shines in loyalty. The biggest lover of calendars, games, and society, and forever a part of my family.
Best Man
Andrew and I met during my first visit to Liberty University. We were housed together as volleyball recruits and soon discovered that the combination of our humor and passion for Jesus would make for an incredible friendship. Although we never officially roomed together (sorry about that), Andrew was and continues to be my closest friend. He is wise, compassionate, adventurous, and makes for the best pepper partner.
Maid of Honor
Of all the siblings I have, Sam is the only one who shares my full genetic build up... and it shows. From early years of getting the same Christmas presents or matching sets of clothes, to now being real life friend-sisters. Sam will forever always understand my humor, encourage me in my dreams, and travel the world for a little getaway. The ultimate giver, Chick-Fil-A kid's meal eater, and storyteller I've ever met.
Groomsman
Payton and I met a week before classes began my junior year at Liberty. We were roommates by random selection but became instant friends. Our taste in hobbies, interests, friends, sports, music, food, and Netflix shows (shout out to Doki Doki) meshed more than I had ever experienced with a roommate. He is my go-to beach volleyball partner, spontaneous snack run buddy, and a great giver of advice. In addition to Payton having the heart of a child but maturity that goes beyond his years, he is outgoing, caring, and pursues people well.
Bridesmaid
HS and I were instantly bound together through the merging of our best friends in youth group. She is the greatest teammate, fire to our elements, and my partner in all ambitions and dreams. Everything is more fun when she's around, and yet also more laid back. HS is a trend-setter with a spirit of a cheerleader, and the person you can always talk to. With a new idea everyday my girl is NEVER boring. She was and has always been my safe place (especially when it came to boys and look at us now)!
Groomsman
John and I met during our freshman year at Liberty University. We both played middle for the men's volleyball team and spent a majority of our time together at practices and workouts. It wouldn't be until our junior year that John and I became deeper friends. We both shared a love for intentionality, good food, and spending a lot of time with the Melendez family. He is patient, relational, encouraging, and loves a good adventure.
Bridesmaid
When Elf and I met my Junior year of High School, we instantly became inseparable and established a relationship that is life long. My dance party starter, surf girl influencer, dedicated (and almost professional) servant & helper, and spontaneous creative. She is real, an actual party, hands-on, and will always make us put our phones in the middle of the table during dinner. If you ever need someone to fix your house, paint you a mural, take you 4-wheeling or out on the boat, start a fire (or a dance party), or lean on and cry with - Elf is the girl.
Groomsman
Conner and I met the summer after my sophomore year of college as student ministry interns. Not only did we share a passion for ministry, but we also shared a love for beach volleyball, producing music, and consuming large amounts of food. And did I mention that our birthdays are on the same day too? Conner is one of the few people to really get me laughing; and if you know me, then you know that is saying a lot. Conner is a solid friend, a great role model, and an all around enjoyable person.
Bridesmaid
This friendship began by me apologizing for smelling like turkey bacon and then realizing unexplainably similar life coincidences. Laina is the type of person who not only gets along with everyone, but makes every person she meets feel valued and pursued. She's cool, determined, loyal, and one heck of a good time. Honored to keep this road trip loving, multitalented, 'do-it-yourself' kindred soul in my life forever.
Groomsman
Tristan and I met in Spanish class during our sophomore year of high school. He had just transferred from another school and we quickly became friends. Whether it be the Bible studies at Five Guys, drive-in double dates, or getting to lead pep rallies together, Tristan was one of my closest friends in high school and continues to be to this day. His intentionality and servant heart were of great encouragement during the early years of my Christian faith. Tristan is mission-minded, personable, dependable, and an extremely good coffee connoisseur.
Bridesmaid
Taye and I met on my very first day of college. Then very quickly I realized I would not be able to survive school without her. To this day, she will still wake up at 6am to help me in all my usual chaos. My loyal, Khloe to my Kourtney, supportive friend. She was mine and Jacob's #1 fan and spent endless nights talking me through every nervous, hurt, and exciting moment with him. If it weren't for Taye, Jacob and I would not be where we are now! Our Harry Potter marathon, volleyball fangirl, road trip partner, and life long friend.
Groomsman
The moment Joseph and I met is difficult to pinpoint. Woven between elementary school, middle school, and junior high, we had our share of friendly encounters... but it wasn't until high school when things really started to kick off. I remember many of the Bible studies we would lead on Friday mornings and the countless nights we would watch movies together (with Bluebell of course) and catch each other up on our latest status with girls. Joseph's Hot Rod enthusiasm, self-starting attitude, and encouraging spirit make for an incredible friend.
Bridesmaid
I think Tiny and I were always destined to be sisters, so thank you to dad and Melissa for making our dreams a reality! We often go by the nicknames Salt & Pepper and have competitions to see who's rats-nest hair is the most tangled. She's awkward yet incredibly cool, and all my friends (and myself) are obsessed with her. Proud of this computer building, rave dancing, jalapeño obsessed, loyal sister of mine.
Groomsman
Elijah and I met at some point early on during high school. We had been introduced to each other a few times but the depth of our friendship didn't develop until our senior year. Whether it be dodgeball, late night ultimate frisbee, or randomly visiting a lady's house for snacks, Elijah is a real down-to-earth, TexasAdventureBoy. His love for animals, anything that goes "vroom," and the occasional sarcastic joke, make for a solid friend who loves people well and knows how to have a great time.
Bridesmaid
Somewhere in between the moments of crying with her in my tent at World Race Training Camp, dancing to Justin Bieber in Guatemala, and trying to sneak samples of wine at the grocery store, I knew Liss and I would be friends forever. She is the world's greatest dance partner, linguistic conversationalist, world traveling teammate, and good time. My drama queen, social activist, bestie roommate, twitter advocate, and friend to all people. And she laughs like a spice girl!!!!
Groomsman
Zach and I met in our home church - First Baptist Conroe. It was during my first year as an intern and his first year as a student within the youth group. While most of our time was spent within the walls of the church, it was the handful of mission trips and summer camps that would ultimately spark our deep friendship. With too many ping pong games to count (many of which I won), early morning tennis matches (many of which he won), and worship songs that we've attempted to write, it became apparent that Zach and I were becoming great friends. He is the most caring guy you'll meet, sings better than most people I know, and loves to get the same drink as I do from Smoothie King. Iykyk.
Bridesmaid
I have never in my life had a friend like Jo. We met on the World Race, and she instantly became the person I felt like truly knew me, saw through my facades and loved me enough to say something. She is honest, bold, true to her self, and caring for people's well-beings and walks with the Lord. One time I made a whole presentation about her and gave it to my Women's Leadership class. She has always taken me for exactly who I am and has helped me to be the most authentic version of myself. She laughs with me (and sometimes at me), supports me, and fights for me and everyone she loves.
Groomsman
Devin and I met on my first trip to visit Alexis's family in Yorktown, VA . During my stay, it was soon evident that Devin was all that Alexis had told me about and more. Since he is her favorite person in the world, I figured that I would probably fancy him too (which is by far an understatement). Dev in the younger brother that anyone would be lucky to have and I am excited that we will officially become family soon. Whether it's Mario Kart or Parcheesi, Turkey Trots or bike rides, or even hanging out when Lex isn't around, Dev always makes things more fun. He is the most mature 15-year-old I have ever met, knows more about football than I ever will, and genuinely loves people well. I cannot wait to have him as a brother.
Bridesmaid
After vowing to myself that I would spend my senior year of college investing in the friendships I already made and not trying to make any new ones... I couldn't let this friend slip out of my fingers. Caro friendship was instant, easy, and felt like it had been present my whole life. Through petitioning teachers to let us be partners on projects, scheduling "homework dates" that lasted 8 hours with not one talk of homework, and me forcing Caro to let me sleepover on school nights, we built a forever friendship founded on our love for the Lord. Her whole being inspires me, comforts me, and makes me laugh all at the same time.
