For our out-of-town guests, we recommend booking accommodations in one of the following nearby areas: • Lapeer – About 20 minutes from Otter Lake with a variety of hotel options, restaurants, and stores. Great for guests looking for convenience and easy access to the venue. • Birch Run – Approximately 35 minutes away and ideal for anyone who enjoys outlet shopping and budget-friendly hotel choices. • Frankenmuth – Around 45 minutes from Otter Lake and perfect for guests wanting a more charming getaway experience with unique shops, restaurants, and Bavarian-style atmosphere. We recommend booking early, especially during busy travel weekends. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Chicago guests

From the Chicago area, the fastest drive to 6853 Klam Rd, Otter Lake, MI is usually: -Take I-94 East out of Chicago into Michigan -Merge onto I-69 East near the Lansing area toward Flint/Port Huron -Take Exit 145 (M-24/Lapeer Rd) toward Lapeer -Head north on M-24, then take local roads into Otter Lake and Klam Rd Typical drive time is about 5–6 hours, depending on traffic leaving Chicago and around Gary, IN. The smoothest departure times are usually early morning or later evening to avoid heavy congestion near Chicago and northwest Indiana. A few travel tips for guests: Expect tolls on portions of the Indiana Toll Road/Chicago Skyway depending on your route. Gas and food stops are easiest around Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Lansing, and Flint. If guests are staying in Frankenmuth or Birch Run, they can connect south to Otter Lake using I-75 and local roads.
