We're getting married!

Jena and Dillon first met in the summer of 2015 through a dating app while they were both students at UNL. While discussing their upcoming classes that fall, Dillon offered Jena some materials he had from when he took chemistry at UNL. She couldn't resist the offer (CHEM 110 was no joke!), and they met up to exchange materials and kept talking. Their first date was on his birthday at Coldstone Creamery, where Jena spilled ice cream all over herself and Dillon had to come to the rescue with napkins. I guess you could say the rest is history! Since the messy ice cream date, Jena and Dillon have embarked on many adventures together, including motorcycle and horse rides, vacations to South Dakota, California, and Colorado, date nights at their favorite sports bars, and (surprisingly) only one trip to the emergency room! They both work for competing engineering consulting firms in Lincoln, so they have some interesting holiday parties.

In October of 2020, Jena & Dillon took a long weekend and went out to Colorado. The first morning they were there, drinking their coffee and watching the sunrise, Dillon handed Jena a small lego set to put together. The set was of a little lego proposal, and once it was put together, Dillon got down on one knee and popped the big question by telling Jena "I really like hanging out with you". They spent the weekend celebrating together and shared the news with everyone once they returned home.
