Between noon and 12:30! The event will start at 1pm sharp.
Before arrival: Please plan to eat before arriving, as we will have light refreshments available before dinner but you'll probably get hungry if you don't have brunch/lunch :) 12:00p - 1p: Guests begin arrive. Please plan to be at the event venue by 1pm SHARP. 1p - 3:30p: Group activities and getting to know each other, Dillan and Ollie's vows. 4:30ish-7:15p: Dinner. After dinner, the vibe will transition to being a relatively casual hangout. If you don't plan on staying with us until the absolute end of the event, this is a good time to plan to leave without missing anything important :) 7:15-8p: Walk to the beach and do a sunset toast! At this point, Dillan and Ollie will take a dip in the ocean and welcome everyone to join us. 8:15p-10p: Party dance-y time 10p-11p: break down and clean up
April 15th, 2026 (please) :)
Ollie requests that men dress in button-ups (short or long sleeve) and non-denim pants. Women rock on wit ya bad selves -- wear white for all I care! If you want some guidance about the vibes then think tea/garden party attire. ** BRING A BATHING SUIT if you want to jump into the ocean with us! There's several bathrooms and a shower available in the venue.
Dillan and Ollie will plan on changing clothes around 6:45/7p in preparation for walking to the beach. The beach is very close to the venue (maybe a 2 min walk away), and we'll mob over to the ocean a bit before sunset at 8pm. Anyone who wants to say some words during this time is invited to do so :)
Unfortunately, parking is very scarce in this area of San Diego during the summer. Plan to carpool and leave plenty of time for parking, or to Uber/Lyft to the wedding venue.
Bring your favorite kind of flowers. Our color theme is an eclectic mix of warm colors (purples, pinks, reds) -- Valentine's day colors. Roses are a lovely choice, but some variety is also great!
The save the dates said the celebration would be in Alpine -- this has changed! Our new venue is in Mission Beach. This means it's much closer to large hotel clusters like Hotel Circle, but everything is pretty much 20 minutes away in San Diego. Since parking will be tough at the venue, you might also consider staying somewhere close by in Mission, Pacific, or Ocean beach!
We'll have refreshments and snacks before an early dinner (around 4:30/5p). Dinner will be thai food with a mix of vegetarian and meat options. Please message us with any other specific dietary restrictions you might have! After dinner we'll have food (sandwiches, wraps, fruit, etc) available until the end of the event at 10p. Please feel free to bring your own food should you prefer it -- we will have a full kitchen available to us which can be used to reheat food.
Our venue is a cute clubhouse right by Mission Bay. Across the sidewalk from the venue is the bay, and across the street on the other side is the beach (about a 2-4min walk). The venue has an air-conditioned indoor area with restrooms and a kitchen, and a spacey patio for outside chillin.
As this is a very small and intimate ceremony, and with activities planned for the specific people who we've invited, please refrain from bringing extra humans to the party (even though we like them too)
Only cool ones
Vintage Valentine's Day <3
We have invited you to join us because we feel you are someone in our life who knows us well and are an important part of our story as couple. We hope that our guests will come to our celebration without the expectation that it will be very traditional. We also would ideally like for the event to be very participatory and communal. Prepare to be heartfelt, present, and to get to know someone new!
