Our love story began in September of 2018...and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. Dillan will always joke about having to send a second message to get my attention, but I’m forever grateful that he sent that second message. When Dillan and I met, we had an instant connection. We went on our first date on a Thursday night and the second date occurred the very next day. Then on Saturday, I met his family and on Sunday, he met mine. Dillan and I both value family more than anything, so family approval was a must. I will never forget that one very special weekend that set the tone for our relationship. We have experienced so much together: Concerts, weddings, softball games, family events, change, and loss. Through good and bad, we have cherished our time together. We knew very quickly that we were who each other had prayed for our entire lives. On February 9th, 2019 Dillan asked for my hand in marriage in the most special way. Dillan used my Maid of Honor, Rachel Clark, to distract me with a "girls day" in Searcy while he and our families prepared for the special night. As we approached my parents’ house from our day of shopping, the driveway was lined with lights and I was in total disbelief. Rachel handed me some tissues and parked the car. I then walked towards the house and was greeted at 3 different tables by his mom and family, my brother, and my parents. During these special moments I will never forget, these special people read the most wonderful letters to me about the excitement for our future together. After meeting with my parents, I then watched the sweetest slideshow from all my friends and family with kind, encouraging words and memories. The sweetest video of all was the last in which Dillan asked me to turn around and join him. At that time, he asked me to marry him, and the answer was absolutely yes! We are so excited for our future together and look forward to celebrating with you all on our big day. We love you all ♥️
