FAQs

Question

What is the wedding date, time, and location?

Answer

The wedding (both ceremony and reception) will take place on September 15, 2024 at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center. The ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm in the amphitheater. Cocktail hour and the reception will immediately follow at the Sunset Room and patio adjacent to the amphitheater.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. We ask that you wear semi-formal/garden party attire. Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length, or midi formal dresses. Gentleman can wear a suit and tie. No jeans please! Being a coastal summer wedding, colors are encouraged and we ask that ladies avoid white. The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors. There is limited shade. Please dress appropriately and comfortably for the occasion.

Question

Do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Please respond by August 1, 2024. Head to the RSVP section of our website. Type in your name as it was written on your invitation and follow the prompt to ensure your reservation is recorded.

Question

Can I Bring a Date?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Question

What are the parking options at the venue?

Answer

There is free parking available at the venue all within a relatively short walking distance to the ceremony location. There are two paved parking lots, as well as a dirt lot, should the paved lots be full. The paved lot past the building is the closest to the ceremony location. The venue is part of the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve. The park grounds are open to the public from dawn to dusk. Accordingly, we recommend arriving early to ensure you have ample time to find parking.

Question

Are there any accommodations available nearby?

Answer

Yes, of course! Please visit the Travel Section of our website for some of our recommendations. We do not have a hotel block anywhere as there are so many options in the area. If you prefer to find a hotel or AirBnb outside of our list, we recommend you stay in Redondo Beach and/or Hermosa Beach as those will be the closest cities to the venue. If you have any specific questions about accommodations, please feel free to email as us at dietzishowwedoit@gmail.com.

Question

Is it okay to take photos during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests try their best to refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, as we have hired a professional photographer. and videographer. However, feel free to capture memories during the reception!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you so get ready to celebrate!

Question

What information do we need for the welcome beach party?

Answer

The welcome beach party will be located on the sand in Redondo Beach. The easiest way to find us will be to head to Miramar Park / Paseo Del La Playa at 387 Paseo De La Playa, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. There is ample parking around the area. You will know you're in the right area if you see a small grassy park with dolphin sculptures. Follow the ramps down to the sand from there. We encourage you to bring your own towels and chairs. The party will be from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. We will have finger snacks and water available. Please keep in mind that alcohol is not allowed on the sand in Redondo Beach.
