Park City has several hiking trails of varying difficulty so there's something for everyone! The link will take you to the "Top 13 hikes in Park City" but our personal favorites are Iron Mountain and Deer Crest. Additionally, the Deer Valley Resort has an excellent network of hiking/ biking trails that we would highly encourage you to explore! They are well marked and maintained and moderate in difficulty.
If road biking is more your speed, be sure to check out the Union Pacific Rail Trail, a 28-mile, level, paved trail running from downtown Park City out to Echo Reservoir. White Pine Touring (https://whitepinetouring.com/) is located right at the trailhead and will gladly rent you a high quality road bike for a few hours!
A roughly 45 minute drive from Park City, the Sundance Resort is well worth the day trip. There's excellent hiking, zip lining, and scenic chair lift rides. For the less adventurous it's worth the ride to grab lunch at the Foundry Grill, enjoy the grounds and check out the on-premise artist-in-residence studios.
We're sort of ambivalent on the distillery tour, but hop in the car for a quick 30 minutes and head out to Wanship to visit the stunning new facilities of local favorite High West Whiskey! Gorgeous views, good food and... did we mention whiskey?! If you'd prefer to stay local, swing by the High West Saloon just off Main Street (703 Park Ave) for a quick tasting.
Site of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games Every weekend, you can watch skiers and snowboarders from the Olympic and national team show off their moves at the Flying Ace Freestyle Show. You’ll get an up-close look at their moves as they fly off the ramp, perform their tricks and end up in the Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool. Check the site for schedules & tickets!
One of our personal favorites, and where Kevin originally planned to propose! The Mountain Terrace at the St. Regis Hotel is a beautiful place for evening cocktails complete with firepits. Each night at dusk, they celebrate the transition from daytime to evening with an iconic champagne sabering ceremony - complete with a complimentary glass, of course!
