Preston and I met in late summer when we both showed up to play sand volleyball. Preston had been invited by someone from church, and I was invited through mutual friends. We quickly realized we both enjoyed giving each other a hard time on the sand. Over the next couple of months, we kept running into each other at different sand courts around town. After spending months dancing around the fact that we liked each other, Preston finally offered to buy me a drink at a social gathering where we were supporting some friends. That’s when I started thinking it was time to turn up the flirting a little. Lol. After the event, we grabbed dinner with friends, and I invited him to a tailgate the following weekend. Long story short, we finally stopped playing around and confessed our feelings for each other. Pretty early on, we both knew we had found our person. God has blessed us immensely, and we feel so grateful that He brought us together!
