Believe it or not, eHarmony brought them together! They started talking during the Summer of 2016 after matching on the questions provided by the app. After a few days, they moved their conversation to Snapchat and eventually to Facebook. On October 7th, they met at Wood Oaks Green Park in Northbrook, and the rest is history!

Nine months went into the planning of the proposal! Derek got down on his knee on October 18, 2019 at the Morton Arboretum where he asked Ashley to marry him!
