Fernbank Museum | 3D Theater | Forest
As lovers of learning, we've visited and revisited the Fernbank. It's beautiful, fun, interactive, educational, and we highly recommend exploring the Wildwoods and Fernbank Forest outside!
Georgia Aquarium
This uber impressive aquarium is the largest in the United States, it's seriously amazing! Be prepared for shameless Home Depot branding throughout. Worth noting that, out of loyalty, Diego still remains partial to the Dallas Aquarium.
National Center for Civil and Human Rights
Beautiful and powerful.
World of Coca-Cola
Jess's favorite beverages: Melon Frosty (Thailand), Sparberry (Zimbabwe) and Inca Kola (naturally!). Beware of Beverly, if you want to experience it vicariously, ask for the video of a stubborn Maria trying it for herself.
Zoo Atlanta
Thankfully we got to see the majestic giant pandas before their contracts elapsed. The zoo also holds a special place in Jess's heart because it was the site of her very favorite CIRU outing:) Look out for the orangutans...according to Diego, they know too much!
Atlanta Botanical Garden
The botanical gardens are absolutely gorgeous! Their dazzling "Garden Nights, Holiday Lights" event has become an annual Christmas tradition.
Big Trees Forest Preserve
A lovely little preserve where we've strolled with each other, brought friends, and fought for our lives while training for the Publix Atlanta Half-Marathon. Coincidentally located next to the government building where we cast our Fulton County votes!
Historic Oakland Cemetery
Atlanta's oldest public park and final resting place to many of its most influential citizens.

Old Fourth Ward
Another lovely park situated on a large lake, right along the Beltline. Stunning architectural design!
Piedmont Park
Expansive greenspace in the heart of the city. So many fun events constantly happening we can't keep track!
High Museum of Art
The High features some truly striking, thought-provoking exhibits. We're excited to go back!
Ponce City Market
Shopping mall meets historic Sears building, with rooftop mini golf. So much good food (we highly recommend Botiwalla) and right along the Beltline!
Little Thai Cuisine
Little Thai has become our go-to lunch spot after church!

DELICIOUS Persian cuisine, this was our designated special-occasion splurge in Sandy Springs
The Battery Atlanta
Shopping, food and entertainment hub located right next to Truist Park (baseball stadium). Anything from VR experiences to live music can be found here.
