Our Relationship!

"This will never be a long-term thing"

We matched on Hinge during the early days of the pandemic. We didn't chat often, figuring we'd meet up once the few weeks of Covid closures were over. Then Molly went to live in San Jose to nanny for a close family friend. Our first few dates were virtual- Molly in San Jose, Taylor in Palms. Then, on a sweltering day in August, we had our first socially-distanced date in a park by the Rose Bowl. We spent a lot of the early months in Taylor's tiny apartment with his rotating cast of weird roommates, watching Selling Sunset, making cocktails, drinking on the balcony, and wearing masks outside. Given the state of the world and the uncertainty of literally everything, we discussed that this could probably never be a long-term thing. Call it love, call it Stockholm syndrome, but the more time we spent together in Taylor's 600 square foot apartment (and in his 3 ft x 3 ft kitchen), the closer we got. Molly spent more time taking online classes for her masters from Taylor's apartment, and Taylor spent more time listening to Taylor Swift. Soon after, we decided to give up the charade and admit that we could see this being a longer-term thing. That October, after spending a weekend out camping with friends, Taylor received a call from a dog rescue that he had applied to. We figured it couldn't hurt to go see a few puppies...just to look. Then, a small white mutt crawled on top of Molly's head, and Archie came home with us that night. Before we even knew we loved each other, we both loved Archie. As the world slowly and safely reopened, we began dating in the real-world, eight months later. The coming weeks and months were filled with camping trips, concerts, soccer games, park picnics, drive-in movies, and patio cocktails. In August 2022, Taylor gave up Palms to save Molly a horrendous commute and we moved to our current apartment in Elysian Park. Here we have met amazing friends and neighbors, traveled across California and Europe, and explored our own backyard. There is a beautiful walking trail steps from our apartment that over looks downtown LA. This is where Taylor proposed in December 2023. We couldn't be more excited to celebrate our marriage with all of you who made it possible and laughed with us along the way. Thank you so much to each and every one of you for supporting us, celebrating with us, and helping to make our relationship what it is. We couldn't have done it without you.
