Our Love Story

Facebook in Love

Adrian and I have actually known each other since Elementary School. Well, he remembers me, I don’t remember him, eventhough I have tried hard to ☺️. Fast forward to the day and age of Facebook. I happened to be scrolling through like normal, and I came across the section that says: “People You May Know.” Adrian’s profile came up, and I noticed we had several mutual friends in common. His name sounded so familiar as if I should know him. Huntsville is a growing city, but not so big that maybe our paths had not crossed at some point. Of course, I looked through his profile, and see that he is the most handsome man I have ever seen! At that point, I still didn’t know him, but I said he was going to be my friend, and I sent him a friend request Lol! He quickly accepted my request. There were small comments on photos here and there. Nothing big. A few days later, Adrian sent me a DM through Facebook Messenger, and we messaged for hours, until I gave him my phone number. He called immediately, and we talked for hours again, all in the same day! We agreed to meet a couple of days later at one of his football games. He had to leave to pick up a player, so I decided to get coffee and come back. On the way home, I caught a flat tire! I was so mad. I called him and explained why I could not come back, and he came to my house to fix my tire after his game. I didn’t know whether to be impressed or scared that he had tools, gloves and such in his car. That’s our joke! ☺️ Afterwards, we talked and continued to see each other regularly, and formed a solid friendship and relationship. Who knew we would be here in love because of Facebook?

Surprise Proposal

From Cash to Ring Gang!

Picture it, Christmas, 2020. I’m at Adrian’s house exchanging gifts with his family. He opens my first gift, thanks me, then he comes back and gives me a handful of money and says Merry Christmas baby. I just look at it, thinking Really? You couldn’t even get me a card? Nonetheless, I said thank you and we continued opening gifts. Adrian didn’t realize I had another gift for him under the tree. He opens it, and is shocked. I had gotten him an iPad so he could be up to date with his fellow football coaches in whatever they do on those things. He shows it to his brother, and they’re talking to each other about it. I’m sitting on the couch opening a gift from his mom and vice versa. The next thing I know, I turn around and he’s right there on his knee, with a ring in hand! I scream and cry in excitement! I couldn’t believe this was happening! Adrian is not the type who would propose on a holiday, because he says everyone expects that to happen. I surely wasn’t expecting that. He gave me the sweetest proposal, and of course I said YES!! That had to be the absolute BEST Christmas gift ever!
