Jon and I met through a mutual friend who connected us back in November 2019. She knew I wanted to be part of the young adults group at my new church and she gave me Jon's number, who she knew was in the group. I didn't end up going to the group until a few months later in March 2020, two weeks before Covid hit our country. Once we met in person, we hit it off and never looked back! While the world was going crazy that March, Jon and I became distracted with getting to know each other. Just our luck, as soon as we met, every business and park closed down and we had no other choice but to hang out at each other's homes. We would spend hours talking in my backyard. It was sort of like courting, which is weird, but we had no other choice! By the end of March, we had met each other's family's and Jon asked me to be his girlfriend. We had a lot of time to spend together the rest of that year since we weren't seeing other people, going places, or living "normal" lives because of Covid. I know we're both extremely grateful for it and wouldn't have had it any other way! Fast forward to June 2021 and Jon asked me to marry him. Without hesitation, I said yes, knowing that no one could fit me as well as him, and vise versa. We've grown to become best friends and we look to Christ as the foundation and center of our relationship. We're thankful for everyone who has loved, supported, and encouraged us throughout our lives and our relationship. We want nothing more than to have our loved ones with us on the day we get married. We can't wait! "And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful... And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3: 14-15, 17
