About a year into the pandemic, I decided it was time to start looking for love again. We had vaccines now and things were feeling a little safer. So I took down my christmas tree 🎄 that hadn't seen the basement since November 2019 and then I downloaded Hinge. Zach was the first (and only) person I even talked to on the app and we had our first date on May 15, 2021! We went to Findlay Market so we could be outside, got a tea and sat out on the benches talking for a couple hours. I remember I told him I didn't believe in Indiana and apparently that wasn't too weird because after our date he bought himself a toiletry bag because he figured he would probably start staying the night somewhere other than home pretty soon! We made it official not even 2 weeks later!

Three years after our first date at Findlay Market, we were set to return. We went under the ruse of Danny wanting to check out the architecture while he was in town. I had joked it was funny we're taking his whole family with us back to where we met for our 3 year anniversary! Zach was like "yeah haha that's so weird" 👀 So we get there and get a tea which we did 3 years ago and then go out to the benches where we sat 3 years ago and I got my phone out to take our 3 year selfie and next thing I know he's reaching into his bag and said he's got something for me! He was so nervous he jumped right to "will you marry me?"... spoiler alert, I said yes! Then he immediately told me his family wasn't coming, it was all a lie and we were meeting everyone for a celebratory lunch. He had people come in from far and wide to celebrate with us that day! It was a perfect 3rd anniversary!
