Matron of Honor
I met Kim at IU when we lived in DC for a semester. She was the artsy kid stuck with a bunch of political nerds. She’s hilarious, an insanely talented calligrapher, and new mama to baby Wren. She’s also the female version of Nick (think: Charles Bukowski, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and the Big Lebowski).
Maid of Honor
I call her Surber or SHBFF (that’s State House BFF). Surber and I met when she was a Senate intern and I worked for the Lt Governor. She used to bring her box of Life cereal and sit next to my desk to chat about life. We survived a trip to Europe together and she’s the only person my Dad trusted to let me travel with and come back alive.
Libby's Best Person
I met Ryu at Dig IN one summer and I instantly knew we’d be friends. I can always count on him to help rationalize whatever I’ve done. He’s the best cook I know and we love all things JCrew, food and Patachou.
Bridesmaid
Nick’s cousin and the kindest person ever. She’s a phenomenal softball player, friend to everyone she meets, and she interned on the Hill this past summer, so she loves DC as much as I do.
Bridesmaid
I met Emily through Pilates and her sense of humor and realness are what drew me to her. She’s a teacher by day and a yoga instructor at night.
Bridesmaid
I met LP almost 9 years ago as interns at the State Department of Agriculture. We've watched each other grow through careers, relationships, and moves. She is one of the most genuine people I know, and she’s kind of a big deal.
Best Man
Teddy and I grew up together on the north side of Indianapolis just a few minutes apart. Even though he has mastered the art of schadenfreude (mostly at my--and Andrew's--expense), we have remained friends for more than two decades.
Best Man
Andrew lived in the same neighborhood as Teddy, and besides being inseparable during the long Indiana summers, we three were good at getting into trouble. Andrew is perhaps the best guy to have with you in a pinch.
Groomsman
My dear friend and fellow downtowner, Mark has defeated me in the St. Elmo Eating Contest two years running. We bonded over single malt scotch long before that.
Groomsman
Ian and I were in school together from middle school, to IU, and finally law school. We have been occasional roommates since college, and he is the Felix to my Oscar--we've been through thick and thin together.
Groomsman
I have known Bernie since the first grade, and I cannot imagine my childhood without him. Though we have been in different states most of our post-college lives (until very recently), every time we get together it's like we never lived more than a few blocks apart.
