We're Getting Married!

When Casey decided to leave NYC to attend UConn for graduate school, she moved to central Connecticut by herself without knowing anyone. Luckily for her, within the first week of being there she met Zach and found an instant connection. After bonding over their shared profession of Physical Therapy they went on their first date which consisted of pizza, beers, and card games (at what would become their favorite local spot for Tuesday Night Trivia). From there, things flew - both of them realized that this was the real deal. Casey quickly met (and fell in love with) Zach's family during an amazing week on Martha's Vineyard. Upon their return, Zach was greeted by Casey's parents with open arms AND a hand-written list of "20 questions" from Casey's father (Zach handled it like a champion and clearly got the approval). Fast forward 2 years of amazing memories (despite COVID) - Casey and Zach move in together in East Hampton, CT while Zach starts his new job and Casey finishes her last year of PT school. In May of 2023, Zach finally got to attend the illustrious "Jazz Fest" in New Orleans, LA that he had been hearing about from Casey and her family for so long (Diaz annual family vacation for >30 years). He knew how special that place and those memories are to Casey, so he figured it was the perfect place to pop the question; and it was! He started off the weekend on a high note by proposing to Casey in front of Jackson Square Park in the French Quarter, surprising her, her family, and all of the onlookers. And now, here we are! So as they would say in New Orleans, "laissez les bons temps rouler" or "let the good times roll!"
