You had me at hello!

Michael’s first thought of Rebecca came as a result from Rebecca continuously attempting to play with the many cats that would enter the warehouse. As anyone knows Rebecca is a huge animal lover and her ultimate favorite are cats. While Rebecca states when she first laid eyes on Michael, she sensed he was kind, gentle and shy. It all began on a winter night. Michael worked fourteen hours a day, while Rebecca worked until midnight. One cold night Michael intended to drive Rebecca home, waited for her and missed her. The next day, he went to speak with Rebecca’s Godfather Chris to obtain her telephone number as he had misplaced it. Chris took the opportunity to speak with Michael about Rebecca. Michael recalls it, as a thorough discussion that was not stern but shed light on who Rebecca was. From that point on, Michael waited at night for Rebecca to drive her home to Queens despite residing in Staten Island. Michael stated he enjoyed their interactions. They began as friends neither knowing what the future held but knowing they liked each other’s company, enjoyed their conversations and grew to look forward to those moments. Michael asked Rebecca on a date after a couple of months. Michael says from their first date he knew he was going to marry Rebecca. Michael states he knew his life would not be complete without her and informed his mother, Linda first. Rebecca shares upon their dating commencing she was cautious. Rebecca states she was scared because she liked him and did not know if they would indeed have a future. But she loved how he treated her and loved her. Accepting her for who she was and still is. Michael and Rebecca feel the love and commitment they have for each other is summed up in the song Thinking Out Loud. All the ingredients were lined up for this beautiful relationship to become a gourmet meal. Patience, kindness, understanding, respect, enjoyment, appreciation and love for each other. They have supported each other’s aspirations, have blossomed under pressure all the while traveling side by side. Rebecca states Michael makes her feel so loved and safe and she never knew she could love a man the way she loves him. Rebecca shared how Michael encouraged and supported her when she wanted to pursue a Master’s degree to work within the Criminal Law Sector. Soon they will be an official union, the relationship blessed by our Lord in his house. However, since they have been together, they have flourished into a loving, committed couple who are completely in love.
